The mind and body are inextricably linked: the body speaks the mind.

Your body responds to what you think, say and how you act.   When you think one thing, say another and then do something completely different you place your system under considerable pressure and the body responds to tell us that something's not right.

The following physical signs can be an indication that your emotional health is out of balance:

  • Back pain
  • Upset stomach
  • Extreme tiredness
  • Headaches
  • Insomnia
  • Weight gain or loss

Here are a few simple ways
    to improve your emotional health:
Become authentic so that your thoughts, actions and behaviours are aligned, which will reduce the internal stress on your system.
    • Recognise your emotions and understand why you are having them.  Sorting out the causes of sadness or anxiety in your life can help you manage your emotional health.

    • Express your feelings don't repress them.  Find someone to talk to or perhaps keep a note of how you're feeling.

    • Live a balanced life.  All things in moderation, including moderation.  Find ways to reduce the things in your life that make you feel stressed and overwhelmed.  Make time for things you enjoy.  Research has shown that having a positive outlook can improve your quality of life and give your health a boost.

    • Prioritise your peace.  Calm your mind and body by trying some meditation, yoga or a relaxing massage.

    • Take time for yourself.  Take care of your body by eating regular healthy meals, drinking sufficient water, getting enough sleep and exercising.

"By developing an inward focus to your life, you develop the power to act in line with your true positive nature."
